The True North Family

Our staff is what makes the True North Sports Camps experience truly unique and we are thrilled to announce some of our amazing leadership staff who will be returning next summer!

The incredible J&J duo will be returning as Directors of our 2017 Summer Camps! In between dreaming about camp and counting down the days until summer, Julia Garisto (Director of Administration) and Jonathan Isaac (Director of Programming) are both high school teachers within the Toronto District School Board. They truly embody the True North culture and we are so lucky to have them back for another amazing year!

A few other familiar faces to look out for as Program Directors in 2017…

The creator of the infamous “Gallo Ball” is returning to lead our Multi-Sport Camp in Toronto! Jake Gallo is a high school physical education teacher and coaches both volleyball & baseball. As anyone who has been to Multi-Sport Camp will tell you, his energy and enthusiasm are unparalleled!

We are thrilled that Kenneth Pittman is coming back to True North to head up our Main Baseball Camp at Davisville! When Kenneth is not sailing the seven seas, he is studying and playing baseball at UBC. An amazing coach, mentor and leader, we have no doubt that Kenneth will bring his own unique spin to our new baseball camp location.

When Maria Gill is not planning her next album cover shoot or studying to obtain her Masters in Teaching at OISE, she is getting ready for a second summer running the amazing True North Basketball Camp! She has the incredible ability to make every camper feel at home, even if it’s their first day. Everyone leaves Basketball Camp with a new passion for the sport and some sweet new skills!

Wolf Steger will be spending another summer taking our
Elite Baseball Camp to the next level! Wolf created an amazing experience for everyone at Elite Camp last year, including the coaches who fondly became known as the “Wolf Pack”. As this will be his fourth summer working with us, Wolf knows what it takes to create an incredible advanced-level baseball program!

Some of you might remember Breanna Bitondo as the amazing Site Supervisor from Memorial Park, but you may not know that she has years of experience playing competitive soccer! We are thrilled to announce that Breanna will be pioneering our first ever Soccer Camp. Breanna’s amazing attitude and passion for soccer will create an incredible experience for soccer players of all skill levels!

After spending many years as a camper and staff member at True North, Ben Dinsdale will be stepping into a leadership role this summer heading up the Silver Diamond at our Main Baseball Camp at Memorial Park! Ben has an incredible ability to connect with each camper, making sure that everyone has an amazing time at True North.
